WAUKESHA, WI — A 51-year-old Sun Prairie man was arrested Wednesday after a crash on I-94 in Waukesha County led Wisconsin State Patrol to investigate him for operating while intoxicated, fourth offense. The crash happened around 4 p.m. near Maple Avenue when a van struck the median’s cable barrier.
The driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

State Patrol said troopers responded to the scene after the van hit the center barrier. The agency said the crash was in Waukesha County near Maple Avenue.
The driver was the only person mentioned in the release, and no other injuries were reported.
Impairment Signs Noted
According to the news release, the driver showed signs of impairment at the scene. Troopers then conducted standardized field sobriety tests.
He was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, fourth offense.
Booked After Blood Draw
An evidentiary blood draw was obtained before the man was booked and held at the Waukesha County Jail. The Wisconsin State Patrol said the information came from its own release.
