Wednesday Heavyweight History
At the Rave N ball Wednesday Addams uses many iconic dance moves. Jenna Ortega’s Inspiration includes moves from Bob Fosse’s iconic musical Sweet Charity. The dance segment known as “The Heavyweight” is part of Bob Fosse’s “Rich Man’s Frug” from the musical Sweet Charity. The Frug reflects Fosse’s style with angular, isolated movements and a sense of playful cynicism. The Heavyweight section specifically features male dancers with thrusting chests and bodies, as well as other signature Fosse moves like hair whips and boxing-style choreography around a bell. Wednesday nailed it with the pumping iron and fist twists in her dance at the Rave N ball.
Heavyweight Wednesday style:
Step 1 Pumping iron.
March and lift right and left hands like pumping iron for 8 counts
