MINNETRISTA, MN — A 5-year-old child drowned Saturday afternoon at Lake Minnetonka Regional Park, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office. The child was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The sheriff’s office said a bystander first spotted the child in the water before lifeguards pulled the child out and began life-saving measures. Officials have not released the child’s name.
