POTTWAWATTAMIE COUNTY, IA — A Harlan man died Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 880 in Pottawattamie County, according to the Iowa State Patrol. The wreck happened near the 9.6 mile marker.
Investigators said 31-year-old Dillon Michael Wood was driving westbound in a 2008 GMC Acadia when the vehicle left the roadway for reasons that were not immediately known.
Crash Details
The SUV traveled off the road and went into the north ditch, the patrol said. Wood was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Authorities said he suffered fatal injuries at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

The Iowa State Patrol has not said what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. The crash location was identified as Interstate 880 in Pottawattamie County.
The report did not include any additional contributing factors.
