SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — A car and a semi-truck collided Sunday night in Sheboygan County, leaving one person dead and three others hurt. The crash happened just before 10 p.m. at State Highway 23 and Scenic View Drive in the Town of Greenbush.
Deputies said the driver of a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on Scenic View Drive and did not stop at the stop sign before entering the intersection.
What Deputies Reported
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, the Toyota went into the path of an eastbound semi on Highway 23. The semi struck the car, then overturned as a result of the impact.
The sheriff’s office said the Toyota’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not released the person’s name.
Injuries And Scene
Three people riding in the semi were taken to a hospital with what deputies described as non-life-threatening injuries. No additional details about their conditions were released.
The crash shut down the scene long enough for investigators to sort out what happened. The sheriff’s office said the information released so far came from a preliminary investigation.
