WATONWAN COUNTY, MN — A Saturday crash involving a Ford Bronco and a semi on Highway 60 in southern Minnesota left one person dead and another badly hurt. The Minnesota State Patrol says the Bronco was traveling south on 660th Avenue in Watonwan County when it collided with a westbound semi on Highway 60.
Officials identified the driver of the Bronco as 83-year-old Wayne Gary Hanson of Butterfield, Minnesota. He died at the scene. His passenger, an 83-year-old Butterfield woman, suffered life-threatening injuries.

The State Patrol report says the Bronco was driven by Hanson with one female passenger aboard. The semi was heading west on Highway 60 at the time of the collision. The exact circumstances leading up to the crash were not included in the initial report.
