The excitement of a new Knitvent season is in the air again, and it feels just as magical as ever.
More than a decade since the first Knitvent, I still look forward to this moment each year: when our community gathers around a shared sense of curiosity, kindness, and creative adventure. It’s become a beloved ritual…a way to pause in the middle of the holiday gift-knitting rush and let making become a form of rest.
This year’s collection is all about loving what we have. Rediscovering the beauty already in our stashes and finding inspiration in the humble little treasures we surround ourselves with. Delighting in scraps, half-used skeins, half-forgotten treasures and quiet creativity. Before we unwrap the new surprises, I thought we might take a slow wander through the Knitvents that brought us here.
Each one holds a piece of our shared story: the knitting projects, of course, but also the memories and friendships we’ve made. In the spirit of this year’s theme of using what we have, let’s gather the threads of every Knitvent so far: all the joy, colour, and community that have made this tradition so special.

The six secret patterns were a celebration of possibility and play, mixing classic gift knits with modern twists and encouraging knitters to make the season truly their own.

Looking Back, Looking Forward
As we step into Knitvent 2025, I’m thinking about the quiet abundance that lives in our craft cupboards and in every season of our creative lives. Over the years, these collections have carried us through sparkling highs and quiet, reflective winters, but through it all, the most important part has stayed the same: the joy of making and the community we share.
I’m so proud of all the Knitvents we have behind us, and so excited for the one still unfolding.
May it remind you that there’s magic in what you already have…and endless possibilities in what you can make next.
Happy knitting,
x Helen
