BELLINGHAM, MA — A person broke into a Bellingham home by climbing through a window and assaulted a resident early Saturday, according to police.
The incident was reported around 12:40 a.m. in the area of South Main Street and Mann Street. No arrests have been announced.

Bellingham police said the suspect is a man described as about 6 feet tall, thin, and roughly 30 to 40 years old.
Authorities said he was wearing a black hoodie when the break-in happened. The resident was assaulted after the suspect entered the home through the window.
Investigators ask neighbors to review security cameras from Saturday night
Police are asking nearby residents to check home security footage from that night and send any useful video to detectives.

Patrols increased as officials urge residents to lock windows and doors
Police said patrols in the area have been increased after the break-in.
