ALABASTER, AL — Alabaster police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 67-year-old man who was last seen Wednesday evening near the Southbrook Village shopping center. Officers said Glen Spence, who also goes by “Mo,” has not yet been located.
Police said Spence was last seen Aug. 13, 2026, around 7 p.m. walking near the shopping center. He was wearing blue jeans, orange shoes and a white shirt with blue stripes.
Police describe Spence and where he is often seen
The department said Spence is a Black man who is 6-foot-3 and weighs about 160 pounds. Police said he has brown hair and brown eyes.
Officers said he is a familiar face in Alabaster and often spends time around Southbrook Village, where Crunch Fitness and Little Caesars are located. He is also often seen walking between the shopping center and Simmsville Road, usually in a bright yellow safety jacket.
Search efforts expanded after he did not return home
In an update Friday evening, police said detectives and officers were still searching for Spence. The department also shared a photo of him taken the day he was last seen.
After being notified that he had not returned home as expected, officers searched areas on foot, by vehicle, with drones and on ATVs. Investigators said they are reviewing information and following leads as they come in.

The police department urged residents to share any details they may have, even if the information seems minor. Investigators said small pieces of information could still help determine Spence’s whereabouts.
