EDEN, NC — An investigation tied to a missing 15-year-old from Ripley, West Virginia, ended with an arrest in North Carolina, according to police.
Authorities say Jaramia Joseph Dixon, 21, was charged with statutory rape of a child 15 or younger after officers in Eden were alerted to the case and the teen was found with help from Ripley police.

The Eden Police Department said officers received notice on Monday about the missing teenager. Police then worked with Ripley authorities to help locate the 15-year-old.
The department did not provide additional details about where the teen was found or the circumstances leading to Dixon’s arrest.
Dixon held without bond ahead of Aug. 17 court appearance
Police said Dixon is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.
