Wilma Flintstone is not your average housewife. The daughter of the computer mogul Slaghoople and his wife Pearl, she married down to Fred. Not just a pretty face, she was featured on TV guide in 1961. Wilma sang the happy housewife commercial, won the Water Buffalo Lodge beauty contest, and was cast in a film in Hollyrock,
This did not stop the feminist princess from discovering her other talents. She sold her gravelberry pie recipe to the Safestone supermarket chain, was a member of the male Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes, was a reporter for the daily Granite, and ran successful catering business, “Bone Appetite,” Wilma is a modern woman of many talents and the perfect prehistoric princess for the “Meet the Flintstone’s” Cha cha.
