In February I finished up four fiction books (I’ve got a couple non-fiction still in progress):
The School For Good Mothers by Jessamine Chan : I knew very little about the premise of this book before reading + I’m glad that was the case because it made the whole story even more crazy. There were a bunch of moments I said out loud to Aaron, “this book is bananas.” I found the writing to be smart and it totally held my attention and made me think all kinds of things about the mothers we are, how we were mothered, and the kind of mothers we want to be.
The Golden Couple by Greer Hendricks : Super fast read that kept my attention and kept me guessing.
The House In The Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune : 100% goodness. Definitely not a genre I read the most but man this was just good. We can all use more compassion + kindness + empathy.
We Were Never Here by Andrea Bartz : My least favorite of the ones I read this month. Read this in one day on a travel day. Not the best, not the worst. Decent travel read.
