JACKSONVILLE, FL — A man in his mid-30s was shot multiple times early Friday after two masked men broke into a home on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said the violence unfolded during a home invasion in the Allendale neighborhood.
Police were called to the house on 20th Street West around 3:40 a.m. Officers found the victim with gunshot wounds to both arms and his back. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover, authorities said.
Police say two masked men forced their way inside the home
Detectives said their initial findings show that two men wearing masks entered the residence before the shooting. The sheriff’s office said the encounter turned physical, with the victim struggling with one of the intruders before shots were fired.

Victim’s injuries were serious but he is expected to recover
