HONEY CREEK, IA — Iowa State Patrol was at the scene of a fatal crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 29 near exit 66, just south of Honey Creek. Officials said a northbound semi left the roadway, hit cable barriers and entered the median.
The crash killed two people, according to the patrol.
Crash Details
State patrol said the semi was traveling north on I-29 when it went off the interstate. After striking the barriers, the truck ended up in the median near the exit.
No further details about what led to the crash were included in the report.
People Identified
The victims were identified as 64-year-old Charles Grandpre of Salina, Kansas, and 49-year-old Angela Blackwood of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The agency did not release additional information about their roles in the crash.
The report also did not say whether anyone else was hurt.
