BATTLE LAKE, MN — Otter Tail County deputies arrested a juvenile after a burglary early Monday at the Cenex in Battle Lake. Authorities say a burglar alarm went off around 1 a.m., leading deputies to the store where they found a forced-open door and evidence that items had been taken.
Deputies found forced entry
According to the report, deputies arrived after the alarm sounded and discovered that someone had broken into the business. Investigators later determined that several items were stolen from inside the store.
Juvenile identified and arrested
A male teen was later identified as the suspect and arrested in connection with the break-in. Officials say he was taken to the West Central Regional Juvenile Center in Moorhead.
Charges tied to burglary
The juvenile was being held on suspicion of third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and damage to property. The report did not include additional details about the items taken or the extent of the damage.
